Tim Passed away unexpectedly in November 2016 at his residence in Rochester, New York. He was born in Syracuse, New York, son of Frances Ann Murphy Tormey and Thomas M. Tormey, Sr. he will be missed by many friends and family.
Tim Graduated from Eisenhower College in Seneca Falls, NY (now NY Chiropractic College) where he received a B.A. in English Comparative Literature.
"Ike" (Eisenhower College) was very special to Tim where he developed many close and loyal friends who will miss his humor.
Tim had carpentry experience and specialized in remodeling and woodworking projects.
This talent helped him work his way through college. He utilized these skills throughout his life with his own home and independent projects with family and friends.
Tim was also an Art enthusiast and owned and ran a small rural art Gallery on his property from 2002 to 2009.
A voracious reader, he was never without a book, unless he was doing the Sunday NY Times crossword puzzle. He was a fan of Ernest Hemingway and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle among others in his extensive library of classic literature. He loved to play golf and lacrosse and was on the Varsity team at "Ike" (Eisenhower College). Tim had several high level sales positions in Medical equipment and supplies, which eventually led to him forming his own business: Control Medical Services, LLC, a Risk Management Assessment for Radiologists, Laboratory Diagnostics and Genomic Testing.
He has four boys that he loved dearly; Thomas "Ted" Edward Tormey, Todd Nicholas "Nick" Tormey, and Tiernan "Tank" Michael Tormey. Sadley, his eldest son, Trevor Jay Tormey, passed away in 2012. Surviving family are three brothers; Thomas M. Tormey Jr., Terrence M. Tormey, Theodore Christopher Tormey and sister Amy Tormey as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and there will be a memorial at a later date to be announced.
