Timothy Jacob Roach, 65, of Jamesville, passed away at his home after a long battle with cancer, to which he fought hard, never backing down from a fight. Born in Syracuse, he lived in Jamesville for the past 29 years. He previously attended Henninger High School in Syracuse. A career tradesman, Tim worked as a third-generation welder for over 40 years, as well as excelling with numerous other trades and skills. He was a dedicated participant with the local motorcycle community, as well as supporting many humanitarian causes, especially those relating to veterans advocacy and cancer research. Tim was always the naturalist, enjoying many hours tending to his garden and he had a love for animals, especially his own. Amongst all this, Tim’s true pride was his family. A selfless husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Tim is predeceased by his wife of 29 years, Karen L. Roach; his mother, Jeannine M. Roach; his father John H. Roach; also his father-in-law, Donald Baker, and mother-in-law, Shirley Baker.
Surviving are his four children, Dan (Angie) Welch, Cristal Roach, Ryan Roach, and Cassie Roach; his eight grandchildren; brothers, John (Frances) Roach, David (Brenda) Roach, Curtis (Susan) Roach, Kelly (Cindy) Roach, Greg (Cynthia) Roach, Jerry (Katheryn) Roach; many nieces and nephews and their families.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY.
Entombment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum, Syracuse on Wednesday 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Golisano Children's Hospital.
