Timothy James Poormon ("Timmy/Poorboy"), 63, of Weedsport, NY, passed on to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 10th at home surrounded by his family and closest friends.
Timmy was born on April 4, 1959 in Waterloo, NY. He grew up in Skaneateles where he worked with his father repairing automobiles and graduated in 1977 from Skaneateles High School. He spent many years working at the Cedar House maintaining the bowling lanes and machines, repairing cars at Silverline Auto, and maintaining vehicles and equipment for RYCOE Enterprises. Timmy loved hunting, fishing, bowling, playing cards and spending time with family, friends and his favorite boxer "Cooper". Some of his cherished memories were winning the Auburn Citizen Masters, bowling two "300" perfect games, and tracking that perfect buck.
Tim was predeceased by his father, Benjamin H. Poormon, and his brother-in-law, Clint Smith.
He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Poormon; sisters, Teresa Smith, Brenda Bach, Leisha (Don) Leach, Natalie (Sam) Majlaton, Dawn Briggs-Zaffuto (Mike), Earleen (Jeff) Miller, Debbie (Rocky) brothers, Benjamin (Teresa) Jr., Vincent (Lisa), Jason (Nicole) and several foster sisters/brothers over the years. A plethora of nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews and a lifetime of friends he held close to his heart, who loved spending time with him.
A celebration of life is being held at the Skaneateles Falls Legion (4572 Jordan Road, Skaneateles) on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
Family and friends will be celebrating his life and sharing their greatest memories. "Fly Like an Eagle" Tim and be free from the pain.
