Timothy J. Hartigan, 39, died Saturday after a long struggle with mental illness. All who knew him well, loved him and will remember him for his kindness, thoughtfulness and his ability to make people laugh. He is predeceased by his step-father, Charlie Hawthorne.
He is survived by his mother, Lynne Hawthorne; father, James Hartigan; sons, Cody and Anthony Hartigan; sisters, Bonnie (Jay) Scripa, Diana (Chris) Spier; brother, Jimmy (Loralee) Hawthorne; Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, 7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 PM, at the funeral home, before services. Burial will be private.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Lynne Hawthorne, for a Trust Fund for Tim's sons, C/O the Buckley Road Baptist Church 4962 Buckley Rd., Liverpool, NY 13088.
