Timothy Gernhardt

Timothy J. Gernhardt, 52, of Parish, passed away on Saturday at Upstate University Hospital after a long struggle with alcoholism.

Timothy was born on February 7, 1965, the son of Henry and Dolores Gernhardt. Tim was an expert and avid fly fisherman. He was a talented guitar player and composer as well as a fine woodworker.

Timothy is survived by his father Henry, sisters; Octavia Gernhardt-Riggs (Dykes Riggs), Victoria Gernhardt, Alexandra Gernhardt, nephew, Nicholas Gernhardt, niece, Natalia DeMaria, nephew, Nathan Aldrich, and nephew, Ethan Aldrich.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trout Unlimited, www.tu.org or to any alcohol addiction related non-proft organizations.
