Thomas L. Vance
August 16, 1950 — February 20, 2024
Thomas L. Vance, 73, passed away in the loving company of family on February 20, 2024.
He was born in Cincinnati, OH, raised in Fort Wayne, IN, and graduated from Indiana University before serving in the US Air Force.
Tom met and married the love of his life, Rosie, and settled in North Syracuse, where he worked at Crouse Hinds and attended Shiloh Bible Church.
Tom's ever present smile expressed his kind and pleasant nature. He was loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
Tom is survived by his wife of 47 years, Roszita (Rosie), step children Bob Desimone and Anne Marie (Paul) Kisly, step grandchildren Issac, Hannah, Charity, Elijah, and Nate Betters, and his brothers Edwin (Sandra) and Rick (Pam) Vance.
He is predeceased by his parents Edwin and Ellen, and his step-daughter Sharon (Bill) Betters.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, Feb 29th, from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
A short service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, March 1st, 9 am, followed by burial at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
A donation to the American Cancer Society in memory of Tom may be made in lieu of flowers.
