Thomas T. Murphy, 72, of Syracuse, went to be with the Lord on Thursday.
Thomas was a retiree from the US Air Force and the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department. Prior to his service with the Sheriff's Dept., he served as a Dewitt Police Officer. He was an avid sports fan, loved history, and reading. Thomas will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.
Thomas is survived by his son, Thomas (Wendy) Murphy; brothers, Joseph Murphy and Kevin (Paula) Murphy; sister, Marianne (John Webb) Murphy and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the CNY SPCA.
