Thomas A. "Tom" Schroeder, 82, of Cicero, passed away on Wednesday at home with loving family by his side. Thomas was born on June 8, 1938 the son of the late Carl and Marie Schroeder. He was predeceased by his daughter Kimberly Schroeder-Lester.
Tom enjoyed SU Sports, fishing, photography, composing music and playing his guitar. He also liked going camping in his motor home, which he named, "Little Minnie", after his mom. Tom retired in '88 from the State of New York. He took great pride in his part time job as a private investigator. Tom was a former Rome Police Officer and Camillus Police Officer.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carol Schroeder, daughter, Deborah Flood (Todd Santoro), 3 grandchildren, Larisa Lester, Dylan Flood, Devan Flood, sister, Maria Curley, brothers, Peter H. Schroeder, Carl (Maureen) Schroeder, along with nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Monday September 28 from 10-11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 11.
