Thomas J. O'Hara Jr., 74, of North Syracuse, passed away Monday at home with his family at his side. He was a 1957 graduate of Onondaga Central High School. Tom was a 54 year member of St. Rose of Lima Church, a 56 year member of the American Turners Organization, a past president of the Syracuse Turners and a National Honor Key award recipient. Tom was an avid SU sports fan. Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Leona and a brother, Jerome.

He is survived by his wife Mary of 53 years; four sons, Dennis (Cindy), Thomas (Karen), Darrin (Martha) and Christopher (Becky); ten grand-children; a sister, Judith Burns; brothers Daniel and Ronald.

Services will be Friday, 11:30AM at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will follow at North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice of CNY.
