Thomas B. Dunn Sr., 66, of Hastings passed away on Saturday. In his early years, Thomas was a Boy Scout leader. He graduated from Henniger High School in 1968 and then attended OCC.
Thomas served as a Syracuse Firefighter. He also served in the Army National Guard as well as the Air Force. During his years in the Air Force he was stationed in Germany and England. His hobbies included photography, fishing, camping, playing cards, cake decorating, going to the casino, going on road trips and traveling in general.
Thomas loved the Adirondack Mountains. Most of all he loved his family. Everyone will remember that wonderful smile and of course the cakes he decorated to make fond memories for all of us.
Thomas is pre-deceased by his Father, Robert E. Dunn Sr., his Mother, Hilda C. Dunn and his brother, John Alan Dunn.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Janet M. Dunn of Hastings, NY; his former wives; Lorri E. Dunn of Cicero, NY and Susan Gridley of Arizona; his Brother, Robert (Jo Ann) E. Dunn II of Liverpool, NY; Sisters, Susan Smith of Camillus and Karen (Michael) Masella of Baldwinsville; his children, Sherry B. (Travis) Hardiman (Dunn) of Rochester, NY, Thomas B. Dunn, Jr. of Cicero, NY and Victoria E. Dunn of Fulton, NY; his stepchildren, Clifford Johnston of Locke, NY, Patricia E. Johnston of Rome, NY, Christopher C. Johnston of W. Monroe, NY, Joyce E. Deacons of Pulaski, NY, Kevin C. Johnston of Solvay, NY, Amy M. Simmons, of Cicero, NY and Chrystal A. Avery of Central Square, NY; his grandchildren, Emmett Hardiman, Murray Hardiman, Ashley Johnston, Jessica Johnston, Samantha Johnston, Amanda Johnston, Hannah Johnston, Gabriel Johnston, Clifford Johnston II, Stephen Swahn, Rachel Catello, Christopher Johnston, Cory Johnston, Nichole Paige Moss, Jamison Deacons, Joshua Deacons, Stacia Johnston, Caitlyn Simmons, Kaylie Simmons, Kiersten Avery and Kendal Robinson; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Thursday, January 21st from 4-6 PM at New Comer Funeral Home in North Syracuse. A memorial service will follow immediately after.
