Thomas J. Acquisto

Thomas John Acquisto, age 63, died in his home in Cicero, NY on September 10, 2023. He was a 1977 graduate of East Syracuse-Minoa High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Syracuse University, where he was a member of the university marching band and Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity (AU Chapter).
Tom was a lover of music and played the drums for many years, most notably in symphonic and marching band. He was also an avid reader and had a remarkable collection of sci-fi, fantasy, and mystery novels. He loved dogs and considered himself something of a dog whisperer. He was also known for his ribald sense of humor.
Tom is survived by his wife of 32 years, Annie, their daughters Amanda (Matt) Nolan and Kiernan Acquisto (Drexel Axeloons), their grandchildren Aletheia and Alexander Axeloons, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Marlee. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Emma Acquisto, and two sisters, Donna Ashworth and Aurora Smith.
A Celebration of Life will take place from 6 to 9 pm on November 12th, 2023 at North Syracuse Community Center (700 South Bay Road, North Syracuse, NY 13212).
