Thomas A. Fallon died June 26, 2010 at his home in Syracuse, NY.
Tom was born Nov.28, 1960 to Fay and Frank Fallon in Scarsdale, NY. He attended Edgemont schools before transferring to the Emissary School in Canada. He became a certified pastry chef and worked in California and Nevada at several Resort Hotels. Tom worked for a while as a chef on an offshore oil rig working a month on and a month off to feed 200 workers three meals a day.
Tom returned to the East Coast and settled in Chatham MA, working as a pastry chef for the Chatham Bars Inn. After a few years he turned his attention to Computers and became certified as a technician and worked for the Chatham School District.
In 2005 Tom retired from his job because of a sudden onset of transverse myalitis which caused paralysis. After a few years on the Cape, Tom relocated to Syracuse in 2007 to be near his mom, Fay. He had been frail for the last few years and was living in the Homestead, an assisted living facility. He had a community of friends and staff members that kept him company and are very sadden by his passing.
Tom was predeceased by his father, Frank Fallon June 28. 2007
Tom is survived by his mother, Fay Marie , his sisters: Fay (Dale)Fallon- Baker of Steamboat Springs, CO., Cathy (Chuck)Olmsted, Greely, CO., Margaret(Mike Ryan)Fallon Chatham ,MA and brothers Frank Fallon of Mt. Tremper, NY, Joe(Elizabeth) Fallon, Liverpool, NY and Jimmy Fallon Chatham, MA. He is also survived by six nieces and one nephew, three grand nieces and two grand nephews.
A Sea side memorial Service took place in Chatham on Saturday July 17, 2010). Tom's wished to return to a very special place in his life.
A Memorial Mass will take place at St. John's Church 8290 Soule Rd. Liverpool,NY , Monday July 19 at 7:00pm for family and friends.
"Little by Little , one travels far" J.R.R. Tolkien and for Tom he has come home again.
