Theresa M. (Brill) Hopkins, 74, stepped into heaven in the presence of her Lord on Monday. She was born October 25, 1939 to Evelyn Brill in Syracuse. She spent most of her life after age 13 in several foster homes. Theresa graduated from Mexico Academy in Mexico, NY and later worked with Royal Insurance Co. for over twenty years.
A longtime member of Believer's Chapel, Cicero, NY, Theresa taught and cared for the children of the chapel for many years. They loved her dearly and still fondly greeted her years later. She was an active member of the Vanguards, a group of those over 50. Theresa was an avid student of the Bible; which she read and applied to her life daily. Theresa greeted everyone with a smile, considering them friends at first encounter. Theresa was a strong woman of faith, compassion and conviction. She met every challenge head on with great humor and determination; she will be sorely missed by all.
Theresa and her husband Dale celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage on April 20, 2013. Surviving besides her husband are 2 sons: Dan & Joe, one grandson, along with 2 sisters-in-law, 2 nieces and a nephew.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at Believer's Chapel, Cicero at a later date.
