Theresa D. Burns

Theresa D. Burns, 82 of Mattydale, NY, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in Syracuse, NY. She was born on Syracuse’s Northside on February 8, 1942 to Mildred Tursi.

 Theresa was the head fox at the “Top of the Inn” in the late 60’s and 70’s and bartender at Sammy Kee’s. She loved her many Great Danes, watching her daytime soaps and making sauce for her family.

 She is survived by her husband of 42 years, R. Daniel Burns; children, Thom (Philip Scibilia) Venuti, Daniel (Lucia Barbieri) Burns, Christopher (Sarah) Burns; grandchildren, Jack, Nora, Sebastian Oliver and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

 Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 10am-12pm. Burial will follow at North Syracuse Cemetery, North Syracuse.
