Theodore Rood

Theodore "Ted" Rood joined his wife in Heaven on Friday, July 28, 2023 while surrounded by loved ones. Ted was born on November 30th 1936. He grew up in the Finger Lakes area before marrying his late wife, Anne (Gosch) Rood in 1957. The two moved to a farm in Pulaski where they raised five children and built their lives together. Ted and Anne later owned and operated Imaginitive T-Shirt Printing.

Ted was a strong gentle man, a prolific artist, and a protector of those he loved. He took great pride in caring for others. From teaching his grandkids to parallel park, planting and harvesting roses for his wife, or sneaking the great grandchildren ice cream cones- Ted was always putting his family above himself.

Ted's unwavering love for Anne through her life and in her death, was a wonder to witness. He was confident they'd be reunited.

Theodore is survived by his children Cynthia Barnard, David Rood, Dennis (Pam) Rood, Tim (Ann) Rood, and Jodi (Rod) McNitt. Ted's memory lives on through his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, August 2nd at 5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St. Syracuse, NY 13212. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ted's memory to, Aurora of Central New York Inc., 1065 James St, Syracuse, NY 13203.
