Theodore J. Hoffman, 59, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, with family at his side. After serving his country in the USAF, Ted committed the rest of his life to his family and his career in the fire protection industry. Ted is predeceased by his wife, JoAnne Hoffman; his father, Nels Hoffman; a sister, Candace (Hoffman) Kulesza; and a brother, Nels "Mickey" Hoffman III.
He is survived by two sons, Shane Fordyce and Ted Hoffman, Jr.; a daughter, Shana (Anthony) DiCarlo; four grandchildren, Mary-Anne "Bella" McCauley, Taylor Marie, Sydney Grace and Emma DiCarlo; his mother, Ruthe Hoffman; three brothers, Jeffrey (Margi), Douglas (Charlane) and Craig (Denise) Hoffman; sister in law, Jill Hoffman; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 4-7PM Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street North Syracuse New York 13212. Services will follow on Thursday at 7PM.
