Terry R. "The Governor" Bohne Sr., A lifetime resident of Syracuse passed away Saturday, at the VA Hospital in Madison, WI. He retired from the Town of Salina Highway Dept. with 40 years of service and was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army. Terry was the oldest living heart transplant recipient, in this area, upon his death.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dolores E. Bohne; 2 sons, Michael (Shawn) DiMura, Terry (Virginia) Bohne Jr.; a daughter, Rita (Jamie) Bush; mother, Rita C. Bohne; 4 brothers, John, Ray, Dennis and Michael Bohne; a sister, Mary Smith; 14 grand-children and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, 10 AM at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will follow in Onon. Co. Veterans Cemetery.. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3-7 PM at the funeral home, 705 N. Main Street.
