Teresa Scatigno, 78, of Syracuse, passed away Friday. Born in Polignano A Mare, Italy, she came to America in 1962, lived in Astoria, Queens and Long Island. She moved to Syracuse to be with her son and daughter in law, in 2007 where she enjoyed music, family and friends. Teresa was extremely outgoing and loved people. She was a very loving and caring mother who instilled the Catholic faith. She was a member of Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God Church.
She is survived by her husband, Pietro; children, Vito, Anna, Vittorio, Mario and his wife, Lisa Marie; grandchildren, Emilio, Nicholas, Monica, Nicolas and Brandon.
Services will be Wednesday, 10 AM at Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God Church. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier's Cemetery, Marcellus, NY. Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 5-8PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
