Tejkumar D. "Tej" Chavan, 79, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday.
Tej was an Engineer in India, Sudan and Africa before moving to the United States 30 years ago.
He drove a tractor trailer and then owned and operated an Indian Market in the Syracuse area. Tej loved his parakeets, Bobbie and Metoo. He was a communicant of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. Tej was a kind and loving spouse.
He is survived by his wife, Jan; three children; brother, Pradap and sister, Meena in India; father and mother in-law, Robert and Teddy Crawford and brother-in-law, Steven (Lisa) Crawford.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 25th 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse with a service to follow at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
