Sylvia M. Haselmayer, 97, of North Syracuse, peacefully passed away Monday at Loretto Nursing Home. Born September 21, 1912 in Syracuse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Haselmayer, 1989. Sylvia and Edward were former owners of the Spinning Wheel Rest. On Thompson Rd., North Syracuse. Sylvia was a devoted Mother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her four children, sons, Edward (Ann), Donald (Georgia), Robert (Nancy) and a daughter, Judy Pickreign; two sisters, Doris Farr, Myrtle (Lloyd) Boyce; sister in laws, Madge Smoral and Dorothy Haselmayer; brother in law, Melvin Haselmayer; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, 11 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
