Susan T. Snyder

Susan T. Snyder, 60, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cervical cancer. She was born on March 25, 1959 to the late Bernard and Ruth Henley.

She worked at Peter's IGA in the deli department for 15 years. Susan was a loving mother, and enjoyed being a grandmother even more. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone and was willing to help those who asked her.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gary Snyder; children, MSGT, Bernard J. Snyder USMC, Rachel (Thomas Jr.) Sugrue and Vienna Snyder; grandchildren, Tristan, Collin, London, Braelyn and Casey; sister, Shirley Haynes and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her sisters, Kay Syders and Deborah Pyer; and a brother, Ronald Pyer and nephew, Sean Snyder.

Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse on Friday, May 31st from 4-7pm. Burial will remain private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Upstate Cancer Center and Hospice CNY.
