Susan L. Cook

Susan L. Cook, 66, of Mattydale, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Susan was born in Syracuse, New York on December 17, 1957 to Harold and Marjorie Cook. 

 Susan graduated from North Syracuse High School in 1975, and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from SUNY College of Technology Utica.

She worked at Biscayne Hospital in Florida for several years and at Community General Hospital in Syracuse for 30 years.

She dedicated her life to caring for her patients, giving them compassion, respect and dignity.

She enjoyed boating on Oneida Lake and was an avid antique collector.

 She is survived by her life-long partner of 38 years, Peter Romano; sister, Barbara Quackenbush; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by parents Harold and Marjorie Cook.

 Susan requests that there be no calling hours or services.
