May 3, 1953 — January 13, 2022
Susan C. Bates, 68, of Lyncourt, passed away on Thursday, January 13th after a brief illness. She graduated from North Syracuse High School and graduated from Powelson Business Institute. Susan worked various jobs including at Xerox until retiring from National Grid in 2016. She was a member of University United Methodist Church. Her faith was a very important aspect of her life. Susan had a love for cats.
She was predeceased by her mother, Lois Bates and a brother, David Bates, Sr.
Susan is survived by her brother, Charles R. Bates; partner, Liz Stehle; niece, Virginia Martinez and her five children of Batavia, NY; aunt, Janice Berube and cousins and their families.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the CNY Cat Coalition or to a charity of your choice.
