Steven S. Warner

Steven S. Warner, 40, of Utica, passed away at home September 24, 2022. Steven was born in Syracuse, New York on July 8, 1982.

Steven was employed as a Dental Technician at Gardali Dental, Utica NY. He was a gentle soul with a big heart. Steven was a talented artist who loved music, drawing, fishing, and spending time in nature. Steven was an animal welfare advocate who rescued multiple animals throughout his lifetime. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family where he was known as "Wonka" to his nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Warner; grandfather, Kenneth Haynes, and great-grandmother, Jane Minota.

He is survived by his mother Linda DeStefano; sister, Stephanie Warner (Charles Hooser); nieces, Hailey and Izabella Hooser; nephew, Kenneth Hooser; grandmother, Elizabeth Haynes-Ziegler (John Ziegler); aunts, Jayne Doyle (Thomas), Donna Vinciguerra (Jeffrey), and Susan Haynes who was more like a second mother to Steven; cousins, Thomas Doyle (Aimee) and Hillary Fitzsimmons (Bryan); and several second cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 from 4-7PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steven's memory may be made to Anita's Stevens Swan Humane Society, Utica NY.
