Steven J. Russell, 76, of Phoenix, New York passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2022.
Steven was born on March 11, 1946 in Oakland, California, but would move to Central New York during childhood with his family. Steven attended and graduated from C. W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, NY. Following high school, Steven served in the United States Air Force.
Steven spent his days enjoying the simpler things in life. He could often be found scanning Sirius XM radio for his favorite hits of the 80s (especially the Cars), waiting for Bigfoot's discovery, watching his favorite paranormal and cryptid hunting shows, and spending time snuggling with his best friend and beloved dog, Mutton.
Steven was predeceased by parents Joseph and Alice Russell (Callahan).
He is survived by his sister, Patricia Russell; niece, Elizabeth Barbour (Daniel); his cousins, Christine Schlie (Lee) and David Lee; their children and grandchildren.
Although there will be no public services, his family will be enjoying their time together to reminisce the man they loved dearly.
