Steve D. Wiemeier

Steve Donald Wiemeier, 67, of Mexico, NY, passed away January 3, 2024. Born in Syracuse, he was a lifelong area resident and owner of Party Solutions event business. A man of faith, he faced his cancer diagnosis with incredible strength and courage. Despite extensive chemo treatments, he never lost his ability to dream big. He loved animals and even started a small hobby farm during his treatment. Steve will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit, boisterous laugh, his optimism, his big heart and his willingness to help others. He was a gregarious soul who made friends easily.

He was predeceased by his parents, Darrell and Suzanne Wiemeier and his brother, Andrew.

Surviving are his partner, Brenda Fleming; daughters, Stephanie Wiemeier and Sherri (Jeremy Tompkins) Wiemeier; siblings, Darolyn (Carolee Lindsey) Gray of Minneapolis, MN, John (Linda) Wiemeier of Deming, NM, and Ricky Wiemeier of Honolulu, HI; his nieces and nephews, Jeremy (Danielle) Wiemeier, Jolene (Brian) Neave, Molly Gray, Cloe (Ian) Angelo, Lynn Wiemeier, and Dustin Devine; his grandson, Riley Donald Tompkins (Steve's pride and joy); grandnieces and nephews, Cassie, Abigail, James and Danny; as well as many loving cousins and a wide circle of friends.

The family thanks his care team at Upstate Medical University and all those who supported Steve with prayers and visits during his illness.
Services will be held at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, North Syracuse, NY on Saturday, January 20th with calling hours from 11am to 12:30pm with service immediately to follow. You can view the service live here
