June 30, 1943 — August 23, 2019

Stephen F. Szkolnik "The Cookie Monster," 76, of Mattydale passed away unexpectedly on Friday.
Steve was the Syracuse Distributor of Voortman Cookies for over 45 years. He was an accomplished bowler. He was the 1960 high school bowler of the year, a member of the Syracuse Bowling Hall of Fame, and at one time held the high qualifying score for the Herald Masters.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Carol, and their sons, Jeff (Noreen) and Stephen "Paul" (Marge), David, Kevin (Sherry), Mark (Michelle); 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon with a funeral service beginning at Noon at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will immediately follow in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Cemetery, Salisbury Rd., Syracuse.
