Stephen Case

Stephen G Case, 64, of Kirkville, NY, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024, surrounded by his two children. 

Stephen was born in Canastota, NY, on July 11, 1960, to the late George M. and Jean W. (Watkins) Case. He graduated in 1978 from East Syracuse-Minoa High School, where he was on the cross-country track team. 

Stephen was a long-time resident of Chittenango, NY, and worked for many different companies over the years. However, he recently celebrated his 20th work anniversary at Turning Stone Casino. Stephen had been looking forward to retirement within the next year when he wanted to spend more time with family and friends. He had a love for nature and enjoyed being in the outdoors for as much time as he could. His favorite outdoor activities included fishing, golfing, biking, gardening, kayaking, and sitting and watching hummingbirds. When he was not spending time outdoors, Stephen also enjoyed going to the movies, watching his beloved Minnesota Vikings, or enjoying a good meal with a glass of wine. 

Stephen was also a man of faith and a long-time member of the Kirkville Methodist Church. 

He is survived by his son Craig (Lindsey) Case; daughter Katrina Lent; five granddaughters Nichole, Nattallie & Noilyn Lent, Maya & Luna Case; two great-grandchildren Leon and Violet Burdick; sister Deborah Case; three nieces, two great-nephews with another due any day, one great-niece and several cousins. 

Calling hours will be at 10 am on November 6, 2024, at Kirkville Methodist Church, with a private family service and burial immediately following. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kirkville Methodist Church in Stephen’s name.
