Stephen T. Borowve, 81, of North Syracuse, passed away May 1, 2023. Stephen was born in Syracuse, New York on October 29, 1941 to Stephen and Leda Borowve.
After serving in the United States National Guard, he was honorably discharged. Stephen retired from House Sheet Metal, Syracuse as a sheet metal worker but continued on with the Union as an apprentice teacher. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, had a deep love for the Lord and wanted anyone that he knew to know Jesus, and made friends wherever he went. Stephen was involved in the Children's Ministries' at Believers Chapel and was an active volunteer for North Area Meals on Wheels for many years. Stephen had a knack for collecting hats, many of which were conversation starters. He was a member of the Dave France and Divine Intervention Singing Group, who played worship music at Malta House and Malta Manor. His passion was spending time with his family and his furry friend Sebastian.
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Frances Borowve; parents Stephen and Leda Borowve; and brother, Edward Borowve.
Stephen is survived by his spouse of 7 years, Mary Borowve; children, Cheryl (Bill) Cole and Jacqueline Borowve; grandchildren; Gabrielle, Jason, Jesse, Stephanie, Rebekah, and Destiny; six great grandchildren; his, "sonny boy," Sebastian; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 1:30-4:30pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. A funeral service will be held the following day at 10:00am. Burial will be made in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Dewitt.
Memorial contributions may be made in Stephen's name to North Area Meals on Wheel or The Gathering Place @ NSBC, Children's Ministry.
