Stephanie E. Benson, 67, of North Syracuse, passed away gracefully on October 21, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born on April 12, 1948, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania to Steve and Elizabeth "Bub" (Dzumba) Kulha.
She enjoyed reading, music, movies, boating, Bunco and spending time with her family. She enjoyed socializing with her girlfriends regularly for lunch and dinner. She had a special affection for her grandchild Benson. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church.
On September 12th, 1970 she married David, and they lived in North Syracuse and Cicero, New York.
She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Kulha; mother, Elizabeth "Bub" (Dzumba) Kulha; son-in-law, Kevin Frye and her beloved dog, Carmel.
Stephanie is survived by her loving husband, David; sons, David H. (Linda) Benson, Jason A. (Michele) Benson; daughter, Natalie E. Frye (Christopher Suchewski); sister, Susan M. (Thomas) Leskoske; brother, Stephen A. (Karen) Kulha; grandchildren, Benson F. Frye, Scott M. Travers Jr., Alexander J. Travers; many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4 to 7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at St. Rose of Lima Church at 10 am.
Burial will follow at Pine Plains Cemetery in Clay.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
