Stanley A. Rodford
July 11, 1928 — November 2, 2021
Stanley Rodford 93 passed away Tuesday morning November 2, 2021 peacefully at home with his family by his side.
He proudly served in the Navy for 4 years where he attended Naval Fire Control school. He served aboard the repair ship USS Hector as the second ranking Fire Controlman. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1951.
He then went to work at General Electric where he met his beloved wife Virginia. They were married on July 14, 1956.
They resided in North Syracuse, NY until retirement. Then they moved to Palm Bay, Florida where he enjoyed golfing, bowling, taking long walks and bringing his beloved flowers for 25 years. They then moved back to North Syracuse to be closer to their children.
He was predeceased by his beloved Virginia of 62 years.
He is survived by their Four sons, Kevin, Brian, Keith and Jeffery (Melissa). Five Grandchildren, Mark (DeAnn), Samantha (Chris) Purucker, Jessica, Joseph and Cassidy. One Great-grandson Liam Meier.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 15th from 4 - 7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 705 North Main St. North Syracuse. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday November 16th at 11 AM at North Syracuse Cemetery, North Syracuse
