Robert Stanley "Bob" Jones, age 85, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Crouse Hospital with his family by his side. Born July 22, 1930 in Auburn, NY to Stanley and Belma Jasniewski, he was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Patricia. He was a veteran who served in the Navy; he was honorably discharged.
He was a mason and enjoyed his work. He loved fishing, duck hunting, gardening and lawn care as well as spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his three children, son, Robert (Catherine) and daughters, Terri (Ron) and Kelli (Mike). He is also survived by his sister, Barbara (Michael Smola); nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A service for family members will be held at the American Legion in Cato, NY on April 24 from 1-4PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the SPCA or Veterans Groups or Associations.
