Jeanne D. (Pike/Sowan) Frankenberg
Jeanne D. (Pike/Sowan) Frankenberg, 79, of Liverpool, passed away, Wednesday, February, 19, 2014 at home with her family. Born in Gouverneur, NY, Jeanne had previously retired as the Office Administrator with the US Army ROTC at Syracuse University where she held that position for 25 years.
Jeanne was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Frankenberg and brother David S. Pike.
Jeanne is survived by her sister Marilyn A. Wissing of Florida; children David Sowan and Sandra (Mark) Fuller, both from Charlotte, NC; Laurie Sowan, Deanna Sowan, and Jeanne Sowan of Liverpool, and Julie (Jerome) Seeley of N Syracuse, NY as well as 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Grandma Frankenberg will forever be missed and remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother that was always there with a warm smile and generous nature. She will also be remembered as an avid genealogist with a great love of history. Her creative flair to make everything around her a fairytale come true for her children and grandchildren will be the memories that we will hold dear to our hearts.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate her life on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Unity Church, 300 W Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13207.
