Simone R. Moss

Simone Regina (Poirier) Moss, age 92, of Skaneateles, passed away at Iroquois Nursing Home with family at her side on Saturday November 27, 2021. Simone was born on July 18, 1929 in Cornwall, Canada. The daughter of Medrick and Cecile (nee Major) Poirier. She grew up in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Simone is one of 11 children. She taught herself English, painting, gardening and won awards for the best kept landscaping in Skaneateles for 4 years in a row. She worked hard as a housewife and sustaining Archie's livelihood during his sickness.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Archie A. Moss and parents, Medrick and Cecile Poirier.

Simone is survived by 4 sons, Morgan Moss of Skaneateles, Bruce Moss of Tully, Stuart and Thane Moss of Syracuse; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; brother, John Poirier of Ogdensburg; sister, Shirley of Cornwall Ontario Canada, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday December 3, 2021, from 9-11AM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. Services are private. Interment will be made in St. Mary's Mausoleum.
