Simon Gilinsky, 84, of Liverpool, passed away Saturday. He worked for Conrail for 35 years. Simon will be remembered for his love of animals, his insightful holiday toasts and the wisdom and love he imparted to his family and friends.
Simon is survived by his wife, Helen Jean; three daughters, Cheryl Klemp of Massena, Rosemary (David) King and Deborah Gebhardt; three grandchildren, Christopher Gebhardt, Tyler and Ethan Klemp, one great-grandchild, Kyle Gebhardt; his sister, Pearl Berger; his brother, Leon Gilinsky;
Services will be held on Wednesday 7p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Thursday 12:15PM at Veterans Cemetery.
