December 21, 1950 — October 9, 2019

Shirley J. Wilding, 68, of West Monroe, passed away on Wednesday after a short illness, with family by her side.

Shirley was born in Syracuse to the late Jane and Richard Wilding.

She was a graduate of Corcoran High School in 1968. Shirley retired from Verizon after 30 years with the telephone company. She then went on to work in food service at Hutchings for 5 years.

Shirley was an animal lover and made friends with everybody she met. She had a positive outlook and found good in everybody.

Shirley is survived by her son, Tommy Monette II; siblings, Michael Wilding, Debbie (Darryl) Benamati and Joan (Ruth) Wilding; sister-in-law, Doreen Wilding; nephews, Karl, Patrick, Greg, Nick and niece, Samantha. She leaves behind her fur friends, Olive, Nala and Sweet Pea, who are missing her, as well as her best friends, Sharon and Martha.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 13th from 2-5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, with a service to follow at 5pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of CNY or Sunshine Horses.
