Shirley D. Stone, 84, passed away on Saturday at the Masonic Home in Utica, NY. Shirley was born on December 6, 1934 the daughter of the late Arthur and Thelma Swindon. Shirley was a member of the United Church of Christ in Liverpool. She was predeceased by her husband Richard, daughter, Kathleen Stone and a brother, Arthur "Butch" Swindon.
Shirley was a past Matron of the Liverpool Order of the Eastern Star.
Shirley is survived by her children, Robin (Bob) Doyle, Christine (Timothy) Guinta, Eric (Cheryl) Stone, Barbara (Christopher) Figie, Joseph (Rebecca) LeBlanc, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, Jeanette Look, Nancy Patchett, Diane (William) Chase, Sharon Gannon, brother, William Swindon.
Calling hours will be held at United Church of Christ, 215 Blackberry Road, Liverpool, on Wednesday from 12:30pm-1:30pm, with services at 1:30pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Masonic Care Community, 2150 Bleecker St., Utica, NY 13501, or to the United Church of Christ in Liverpool.
The family would like to thank with sincere appreciation the care and love shown to Shirley while she lived at the Masonic Home especially the entire staff of the monroe wing.
