Shirley I. Seymour, 90, of Cicero, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on February 18, 2019.
Shirley was born in Shawville, Quebec, Canada on July 14, 1928 to the late Hubert and Verda Hamilton.
Shirley retired from Sacred Melody Shop. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting from quilts to knit blankets and baby outfits to plastic canvas. She loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known as an encourager and an example of a woman of faith who inspired many. She was said to be one of the greats. Shirley is now with her Lord.
She is survived by her loving Husband of 68 years, Donald Seymour; Daughter, Sharon Seymour; Son, Wayne Seymour; Three Grandchildren, Peter Seymour, Michelle Seymour, Paul Seymour; Five Great Grandchildren, Marcis Seymour, Matina Seymour, Shane Seymour, Jai Seymour and Owen Seymour.
Visitation will take place on Friday, 4-7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park on Monday at 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Walk of Faith Free Methodist Church.
