Shirley Prescott

Shirley Prescott, born 10/09/1939 in Council Bluffs Iowa, and died peacefully at home on 4/14/2010 in North Syracuse, New York where she had lived for more than 10 years.
She is survived by her husband John, 3 children, Lori Matthews, Jeff Forbes (Kelly), and daughter Kelly Forbes, all of which reside in Tampa, FL, 7 grand-children, and a sister Pam Fisher.
She was always the artist and for a number of years she owned and operated Kring's Ink, an art gallery. She was an employee of Wegman's for many years and did the art-work for the Pond Street store in Syracuse.
On October 13, 1995 Jesus became her Lord and Savior. Since then He has been the center of her life and going to Him was not loss but gain. Shirley's expression of her love and devotion to the Lord was evident in the way she ministered with unconditional love in the lives of women. She leaves behind a legacy of spiritual daughters who will forever be changed by her influence.
She was a long-time member of Believers' Chapel located at 7912 Thompson Road in Cicero. A memorial celebration of her life will be held there Saturday, May 1, at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to Hospice of Central New York.
