Shirley Bohm Paciga, 91, of Central Square, passed away on Wednesday at home with family by her side. Shirley was born on January 28, 1926 the daughter of the late Ludwig and Ruth Bohm.
She attended Syracuse University and majored in communications. She was a semi-finalist in the 1947 Miss Washington Contest and danced for several years appearing in many places including Army & Navy Hospitals, while working for the Government. She then went on to work for Colonial Airlines in 1952. Shirley finished her career, working for Key Bank retiring at a young age of 88.
Shirley is survived by her children, Cynthia P. (Kevin) Kincaid, Mark (Christine) Paciga, James (Beth) Paciga, Paul Paciga, grandchildren, Daniel, Andrea, Brooke, Connor, Jack, Haylee, Victoria, Erica, Colin, Kennedy, Andrew, great grandchild, Jonathan, and her poker buddy, Bob Gardner.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-3pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY, with a memorial service to follow at 3pm.
