Shirley Ann Overend

Shirley Ann Overend, 87, of North Syracuse, passed away August 18, 2023 after a brief illness at the Cottages at Garden Grove, Cicero. Shirley was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on November 29, 1935 to John and Blanch Stanton. Shirley retired from St. Josephs Hospital, where she was employed in the Dietary Department of the hospital for 32 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Blanch Stanton.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Francis Overend; son, Joseph Francis Overend, III; grandson, Joseph Francis Overend, IV; great grandson, Joseph Francis Overend V and daughter-in-law, Patty Walker.
Calling hours will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 from 10-12pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. The burial will be made in Assumption Cemetery.
