Shirley (Breen) Osgood, 93, of Cicero, passed away on Monday at her home surrounded by family. She was born on September 23, 1927 in Syracuse daughter of the late William and Gertrude Breen. She worked for the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce until her marriage in 1961. After raising her family she went back to work in Retail Sales for the Addis Company, Kaufmann's and Macy's until her retirement in her late 70's. Shirley was a member of Sacred Heart Church and sang in the choir. She enjoyed sewing, arts & crafts (dolls), playing the piano, golfing & bowling. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren especially the music & theatre events she attended for her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, John of 59 years, daughter, Karen (Robert) Blake, sons, Brian Osgood, Jon Osgood, grandchildren, Conor Blake, Megan Blake, Harley Osgood, Ethan Osgood, along with nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-3pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held on Monday 11am at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Central Square.
