Shirley J. Whitman, 80, of N. Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born in Albany, NY to the late Helen and William Kirker.
Shirley retired from Upstate University Hospital as a Nurse's Assistant. Shirley will be remembered for her kindness and always having a smile for everyone.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Paul Whitman.
Shirley is survived by daughters, Delene (Kenneth) Ryan, Susan (Steven) Lessack, Nancy (Paul) LaCroix and Carole (Gary) Wilmer; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Jackie (Tom) Hill and a niece and nephew.
Calling hours will be Saturday 1-3PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse with a service to follow at 3PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of CNY.
