Shirley Hebert Wheeler
October 31, 1935 — August 28, 2017
Shirley Wheeler, affectionately known by her family and friends as "Shirls," passed away in her sleep after an extended illness on August 28, 2017 at the age of 81 years.
A Syracuse native, Ms. Wheeler worked many years as a ward clerk at University Hospital. She loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Shirls was a voracious reader who also loved to paint and craft. She was very interested in animal welfare and loved to pamper her gray cat Angel.
She is survived by sister Janet Hill, her loving children Paul, Michelle, Dean, Johnny, Mark, David, Matthew and Dian in addition to nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
