August 21, 1929 — August 9, 2016

Shirley E. Schultz, of Central Square passed away after a long illness.

She was born in Syracuse and was predeceased by her husband Donald of 60 years who passed in December of 2008.

Shirley enjoyed life and was always busy, she worked at Chappell's for 16 years. Shirley and her husband enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling especially to North Carolina. They retired and moved to North Carolina but came back home to Central Square to be with family. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, bowling and loved to go to the casino.

She is survived by 2 sons; Donald (Darlene) Schultz, Arthur (Sharon) Schultz, a daughter Karen (Edward) DeFurio, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.

Interment will take place at N. Syracuse Cemetery, 555 South Bay Road.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
