Sherry L. Ripply
July 2, 1956 — March 12, 2021
Sherry L. Ripply, 64, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer at home surrounded by her family. Sherry was born in Syracuse on July 2, 1956 daughter of the late Leonard and Beatrice Caple. Sherry retired from Kaufmann's in Syracuse. Standing only 4'8, better known as, "The Boss". She enjoyed her only grandson, trips to the casino and being with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Lamar Ripply, children, Corey (Stacy Uzunoff) Zimmer, Tamika Ripply, Stefan Ripply, sisters, Doreen Bearup, Linda (Michael) Washington, brothers; Mike (Linda) Zimmer, Leonard (Kim) Zimmer and her only grandson Jaden Zimmer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-3pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 3pm.
Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
We would love to give a special thanks to Dr. David Duggan and his team at the Upstate Cancer Center we would also like to give thanks to Hospice of CNY.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Upstate Cancer Center.
