Sherry Ellen Sherwood Wilcox, suddenly found herself in a place she had never been before. She found that the Bible is true, when it says, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
She was born on September 10, 1919 in Boonville, N.Y. She was the daughter of Roy and Florence Skjelleup Sherwood. On June 18, 1940 she married Carlton L. Wilcox. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2006.
She was a graduate of Boonville Central School and Edmeston School of Nursing. Sherry loved her gardens, cooking, antiques and giving parties. She is one of the last founding members of the Mother's Club. She was a Republican committee woman. She ran Hoilday Acres (B&B) and graced people from around the world. She set a fine example. She is survived by her four children; Pamela Andela West Winfield, Marcia and Glenn Williams, Godfrey, Ill., Kendrick and Johanna Wilcox West Winfield, Craig and Linda Wilcox, West Winfield, 13 grand children,10 great grand children, 2 brothers, Cedric and Sandy Sherwood, Boonville New York Ronald and Carol Sherwood, Boonville, New York.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Calling hours are 10:30 - 12:00pm on Saturday November 12,20ll, with a Celebration of Life @ 12:00pm at Faith Chapel in Bridgewater, New York. Burial following the service in Unadilla Forks Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Faith Chapel in Bridgewater, NY.
