Sheila Mary Scheu

Sheila Mary Scheu, 87, of Jamesville, NY passed away December 11, 2017. Sheila was born in Watford, United Kingdom on March 25, 1930 to the late Wilfred and Constance Young.
Sheila briefly worked at Nestle in Vevey, Switzerland where she met her husband Hans. She and her husband migrated to the United States in 1955 where they lived in NYC, raised their family in Valley Cottage, NY and then retired to Rhinebeck, NY. She was an avid tennis and NY Mets fan. She volunteered at local hospitals in both Nyack and Rhinebeck. Sheila and Hans both loved spending their time in the Florida Keys, where they vacationed yearly in Islamorada. Sheila had been a resident at the Nottingham Retirement Community in Jamesville for the past 10 years.
She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Johann J. Scheu and sister, Pamela Lane.
She is survived by her son, Peter A. (Betsy) Scheu; daughter, Madeleine A. (Tyler) Dawson; four grandsons, Cory D. Dawson, Jacob L. Dawson, Evan A. Scheu, Spencer L. Scheu and brother, Brian Young who resides in the UK.
There will be no visitation or services per Sheila's request.
