Sharon S. Starkey, 76, of DeWitt, passed away June 18, 2021. Sharon was born in Syracuse, New York on March 27, 1945 to the late Edward Starkey and Margaret Burtch.
She graduated from Albany Medical Center as a registered nurse. She worked as an RN in Denver CO, Los Angeles, CA and then Crouse Hospital NICU in Syracuse for 25 years. She was an avid knitter and photographer, and most importantly loved spending time with her family and their children.
She was predeceased by her step-father, Fredric Burtch; sister, Donna Morgan; brother, Darryl Burtch.
She is survived by her three sisters, Melanie Younis, Cynthia LaFountain, and Deirdre Varney; six brothers, Edward (Donna) Starkey, Richard (Beverly) Starkey, Timothy Starkey, Douglas (Frank) Burtch, Gary Burtch, and Fredric Burtch, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse, interment in Jacksonville Rural Cemetery to follow.
