Sharon L. Sheedy, 81, of Clay passed away on Wednesday with her family by her side.
Sharon was born on September 5, 1938, daughter of the late Royal and Cecile Hinman. Early on she was a Girl Scout Leader and was an active member of the Brewerton Church of Christ Choir. Sharon retired in 2000 from Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square. She enjoyed cross stitch and made many pictures for her family members. Sharon enjoyed traveling with her longtime companion, Dave, as well as many trips they took to the casino. Most of all, Sharon cherished her time spent with family especially her grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her longtime companion, David Holmes; daughters, Colleen (James) Kilcoyne, Sandra (Ronald) Oustrich, Karen (Bill) Pinchak, son, Joseph (Cynthia) Sheedy; grandchildren, Holly, Rob, Christopher, Jessica, Julie, Jeremy, Alec, Emma; sisters, Virginia Brennan, Barbara Weiss; 6 great grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Audrey; sister, Ruby and brothers; Bud, Bernie & Roy.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 27th from 1-4 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 28th 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
